I previously operated my own office as a certified social insurance and labor consultant, but I closed the office at the end of December 2025. After many years of practicing calligraphy, I decided that rather than keeping it simply as a personal hobby, I would like to share and spread this art form with people around the world. With that goal in mind, I have started offering calligraphy classes.

 

In calligraphy, Chinese characters are traditionally associated with the Chinese style known as Karayō. In Japan, however, a unique style called Wayō developed during the mid-Heian period. Compared with Chinese calligraphy, Wayō is often described as a style that combines strength with warmth and gentleness.

 

It would bring me great joy to share and teach this Wayō style of calligraphy—which reflects the Japanese sense of beauty—to people from around the world. Calligraphy is one of Japan's traditional cultural arts. Using traditional writing tools such as ink and brush, kanji and kana characters are written on paper to express one's thoughts and feelings. Because it serves as a form of personal expression, calligraphy can also be considered an art.

Each stroke written carefully and wholeheartedly carries the writer's feelings. I hope to share this spirit of calligraphy with the world and take pride in presenting it as one of Japan's cultural treasures.
